Yes: Yes, this is the most common side effect of azithromycin. Taking the drug with food sometimes helps.

It could be: Two to ten percent of patients get gastrointestinal symptoms including abdominal pain, cramping, vomiting or loss of appetite from azithromycin. If severe you might want to call her doctor and ask for an alternative treatment.
