Get checked: Usually if there is a coexistant illness like a cold, it is just due to that, however if it keeps up i would take your baby to the pediatrician. Recommend baby tylenol (acetaminophen) and/or Ibuprofen to keep the fever down.

See pediatrician: If tylenol (acetaminophen) doesn't lower temp by itself w/i hour or so, try alternating tylenol (acetaminophen) with infant's advil every 4 hours and also use luke-warm (tepid) bath to lower temp. Infant should be seen by peds to check for & treat any serious infections or rxn to recent immunization. Keep infant hydrated with plenty of fluids. (be sure to use correct version of tylenol (acetaminophen)/advil for infant's weight/age).

Fever control: Control fever with Tylenol or Motrin, encourage fluids and provide nasal saline drops for congestion. If the fever is prolonged for three days, please see your pediatrician.
