Found out today that i have "parietal lobe epilepsy"..but my neurologist wasn't really clear on what it means & how to treat it long term--any advice?

Recurrent seizures: It sounds as if there is an area of hyperactive brain in one of your parietal lobes. This can disrupt the rest of the brain, leading to recurrent seizures. This is typically treated with anti-epileptic drugs which reduce irritability and the tendency to spread, but other treatment options (such as surgical resection of the damaged area) are available if medications are ineffective.

AES: I'd suggest spending some time on the american epilepsy society's website. If you can't get the info you want there then bring a list of questions in for your next appointment.
