Stenosis/Coarctation: At age 28 there should be no difference in your upper extremity blood presures.Confirmit. Have your doctors do a full work up for hypertension. Need to check if you have a coarctation of the aorta or a subclavian stenosis or any abnormal vasculature in the aorta and its branches.Additionally you need an echo to rule out valvular heart disease and to check the anatomical structure of the heart.

See a doctor: There are several reasons why some one BP would be different in right and left arms . It could be the way they were measured , variation between the BP when measured but it could be a condition called coarctation of the aorta which can cause this . Please follow up with a doctor to get this checked.
