Reflux: This could be straight up acid reflux that is worse at night because of positioning and gravity. You should evaluate your diet for classic reflux stimulating food and drink such as citrus, tomato, chocolate, mints, smoking, alcohol. Do not eat before lying down for bed. Try elevating the head of your bed as well.
