Treat child: "treat the child, not the fever." if your child has a low grade fever, but is otherwise asymptomatic, it's ok to observe, or give tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. Don't ever give Aspirin to children under 18yr, due to the risk of reye's syndrome, a very serious, potentially fatal illness.
