A member asked:

Should i be concerned about my baby's previous vaccinations?

No: My biggest concern is that they may not be complete or up to date. If you are asking whether they may have harmed your child, the chances of that are extremely low, and are much, much lower than your child's chances of death or serious disability from lack of immunizations.

No: Vaccines are very safe for your child. The schedule has been studied by experts and is put in place to protect your child against these diseases. Reactions to vaccines are rare. Your pediatrician has information about each vaccine your child has received and possible reactions- ask for these as references if you are interested. Vaccinations: If your baby is doing well at this point, there is no concern. If he/she does have any issues that were clearly related to vaccination, then you will need to address those either with your pediatrician or the manufacturer of the vaccine (if known what vaccine caused the problem). There is a tel. Line you can call for the manufacturer to report side effects of concern.

If you are unsure: About your baby's vaccinations, whether they were previously given or not - it is always better to get immunized and be protected from these highly contagious and deadly diseases. No harm done , just not necessary.

Vaccinations: Vaccinations all have side effects and your pediatrician should be providing you with the cdc vin (vaccnie info sheet) - with that said, the risk of side effects is minimal versus the benefit gained from preventing some horrific diseases. You dhould not worry about your child's previous vaccines, but instead focus on completing the vaccine series and getting annual flu.

Vaccines and concern: No there is really only one thing that would cause concern. If your child had a reaction to one of the previous vaccinations this would be the only thing to be concerned about at this time. Hope this helps!

Depends: On whether or not your child has had reactions. Vaccines do contain harmful ingredients that are additive and cumulative. Do your own research and make your own decision. Here is one interesting article link. http://www.naturalnews.com/033858_unvaccinated_children_health.html.

No: Vaccines are the #1 way to prevent serious illnesses, disability and death from many diseases. The best way to protect your child is to get all the recommended vaccines as your doctor prescribes. The american academy of pediatrics and the cdc have up to date information about all of the vaccines. A lot of misinformation can be found on the internet, but the cdc had accurate information.

Not unless missing: Consider there are to date 2000 cases of whopping cough in texas. Many unnecessary deaths for a disease that was practically eradicated. I would check your and dads immunization status while you are at it and protect the baby also by immunizing yourselves.
