Itchiness is a very nonspecific symptom. Skin anywhere can be itchy due to dryness, irritation, infection or insect bites. The breast is no exception. Itchiness alone in the breast is rarely anything significant. Other symptoms to look for are lumps, redness, swelling, discharge or rash.

Itchy breasts or nipples can be caused by friction, harsh detergents resulting in excessive dryness.&by, bra materials. Itching and redness under the breasts can be caused by moisture and/or yeast infections.See your physician as needed if itchiness persists.
