Not Likely!: Calcium supplementation is not only known to cause stomach cramps or discomfort, but recent evidence suggests when taken alone, (without vitamin d), it actually may increase your risk of a heart attack. Reducing certain drugs, such as aspirin, ibruprofen, or naproxen, as well as reducing alcohol intake, caffeine, stress, or eating prior to lying down also is very helpful.
