Neti Pot: You can get a nasal wash or "neti pot" at most drug stores. Follow the directions on the package and it shuld take care of any left over mucous. They have been very popular with the troops in the middle east for clearing sand and dust from the nose. They may also be helpful in preventing infections and allergies.

Sinus infections: This could gradually clear on it's own but i would ask your doctor and see an ENT specialist if your symptoms persist. In the meantime drink lots of fluids and irrigate your nose with saline sprays. This could be sinusitis that could become chronic if not treated promptly.
