Ligament pathology: When a patient describes "popping" or "clicking" or "clunking" in their wrist, one needs to be suspicious of ligament pathology of some sort, usually trauma related. The burning and skin tenderness is not typical.

Loose ligamnets: This is sometimes called being double jointed, though nobody has extra joints. Usually a ligament is loose. Most people get better without surgery.
