A member asked:

Is it normal to have vaginal bleeding for almost a month while u have endometriosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bleeding for a month: Endometriosis by itself will not cause prolonged bleeding. Extended bleeding needs to be evaluated, as fibroid tumors, polyps, and even pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic) may cause this. Obtain a serum HCG test to be sure about pregnancy, but see your gyn physician to determine other causes if the test is negative. If positive, see your gyn immediately.
