Hard to answer: This kind of question makes doctors uncomfortable. The official recommendation is to avoid all alcohol. Yet many people have 1 drink and do ok. So it's not usually dangerous — but it could be. Alcohol plus Paxil (paroxetine) can be overly sedating, impair driving, prevent the Paxil (paroxetine) from working as well, could (rarely) cause a seizure, etc. Weigh the risks and benefits, and make your own adult decision.

Yes it can be: We discourage consuming alcohol while taking paxil (paroxetine). The interaction can be different in different people, and can be very pronounced. Don't risk it with even one drink!
