Psychomotor impaired: The combination of alcohol with any prescription medication can lead to adverse side effects. In the case of paxil (paroxetine), (paroxetine) the effects are additive between the two "drugs" such that the sedative effects of Paxil (paroxetine) and those of alchohol add to one another to make the combination more dangerous then either alone. Also the depressant effects of alcohol on the muscular system can be enhanced due to paxil (paroxetine).

Depends: It is never recommended to use alcohol while taking any antidepressants. However, there is a difference between drinking a drink or two per week, and more frequent or daily drinking. Occasonal alcohol is unlikely to cause problems, but regular alcohol use interferes with the effects of the medicine, and itself can worsen depression. If you think you may be drinking too much, you probably are.
