Floater: A large floater could be causing blurred vision, but you should be able to see thru it. Any new floaters or light flashes should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist to make sure there is no associated retinal tear or detachment.

Possibly: Floaters are caused when the jelly in the back of the eye (vitreous) separates and causes a shadow to form on the retina. This can sometimes cause blurriness when the floater crosses into the central vision. The floater usually moves with the eye and is not always apparent. You should see your eye doctor when new floaters appear to check the retina.
