Lab tests: Most doctors will repeat cholesterol panel and a CBC if abnormal the first time around after 6 months. It usually takes a few months to change or stabilize after treatment. The thyroid though after therapy is usually checked sooner to adjust the medications as necessary.

Dont need any tests: You can have elevated cholesterol with hypothyroidism and you can have anemia and low rbcs you are being treated with thyroid replacement and will need it all your life as your thyroid is not producing enough thyroxin your doctor will check blood periodically to make sure you are on correct dose of thyroid hormone and check your cholesterol, yopu do not need any other test related to thyroid.
