Passive Smoke: When others smoke around you, you are exposed to passive smoke. Children are exposed the the passive smoke of their smoking parents. If you smoke, you are actively exposing your body to the negative and harmful affects of smoking.

Observation: Passive smoke inhalation comes from inhaling vapors from nearby smoking, and is a risk factor for lung disease including lung cancer. Look around you and see if you environment and partners are smoking. The smell is persistent which is why hotels and motels have non-smoking rooms. You are right to ask a smoker to take it out of doors.
