Yes: The inhaled chemicals and nicotine of passive smoke will enter the blood stream and act on the blood vessels of the placenta causing a reduction in blood flow.While not as intense as it would be for active smokers, the effect is there. There is evidence that smoke particles layer out in your nasal passages and continue to release toxic materials into the blood until they are removed.
