Yes : You had a procedure that can certainly cause slight irritation of the esophageal mucosa or mucositis. Often, a thicker mucus is formed from the irritation that you can swallow or cough up . It should clear relatively quickly. If it perists more than a week, call your doctor

If an endoscopy is already negative, why is it necessary to perform a fluoroscopy of upper GI with KUB. Patient basically has cough with blood post extubation. CT of chest and throat came negative. Is it like overdoing?
