A member asked:

I heard that after one shot of hepatitis a you may have life protection.is it correct?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need 2 doses: After one dose of hepatitis vaccine most people (over 90%) have some protection against hepatits a infection. In order to make this protection durable (last life-long) you will need a second dose 6 months later. Mark you calendar, get the second dose and enjoy the peace of mind knowing you are protected. If it has been longer than 6 months, you can still get the second dose.
