A member asked:

What is the hepatitis b surface ab; my dropped and i had to get more shots?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Marker of immunity: Surface ab is produced in response to injection of hep b vaccine which contains surface antigen. Surface antibody is protective against hep b infection. If levels of surface antibody drop too low you are no longer protected against hep b and must be re-immunized.
