Excellent home care: If the cavities are deep enough, they will need to be restored (filled). If they are very early in their development, an ozone dentist can treat the early cavity with ozone to reduce the decay causing bacteria, then apply a re-mineralization (mi paste) and often attain cavity healing. You must have excellent oral hygiene.

Hygiene & fluorude: Great answer by dr. Gordon. I would add that the right amount of Fluoride will also help in remineralization of any incipient lesions. Also watch your diet, it's not necessarily about the quantity of sugar or carbohydrates eaten but the duration of time the teeth are exposed to food. Avoid snacking beyond 30mins, and avoid sipping on soda, coffee, or sugar drinks beyond the 30min time frame. Cheers.

Fluoride, Hygiene: Incipient decay (beginning cavity) can be reversed, if very small by judicious, consistent application of Fluoride and excellent brushing and flossing. Good luck!

Fluoride tray: Great answer by dr. Gordon, but i also want to make a note that Fluoride is best used with a tray, to preserve the adequate concentration on surface of tooth and tooth root for at least 30 minutes. Fluoride works by adsorption, of which electron exchange on the surface, not by absorption. Oral hygiene is also important, specifcally mechanical cleaning (brushing) and flossing.
