Vit E/ aloe/si sheet: Surgical scars are dry. This tissue needs nutrients, especially in the first six months after surgery. Apply vit e oil, aloe vera gel, camomille oil, sesame oil, whatever is convenient every 12 hours. Then the other twelve hours use a silicone sheet under a pressure garment for three months. (clean the skin before si sheet.)after three months, use the oil twice a day to help make the scar supple.

Scar treatment: Avoid sun exposure. Creams that contain sunblock and silicone such as biocorneum. Silicone and compression sheets. Laser treatments and revision surgery. With time most scars fade. http://www.talroudnerplasticsurgery.com/skin/laser-scar-removal-miami-fl/.

Healing of scars: Basic healing of the scar takes about twelve days. Then the scars over heal for another six weeks. At the end of that, the scars are red, lumpy and thick. Then the scars mature over a period of 4 to 10 months. A matured scar is pale flat and soft. During all these times - applying vit e once a day, silicone gel sheeting for many hours a day with pressure will help.
