Birth control pills: You need period control using birth control pills. You can expect decreased amount and duration periods that are more predictable. Along with the lighter, shorter periods, you can expect a significant decrease in cramping with your periods. If you really want to stop your periods, consider Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) injections quarterly.
