Sore throat: Those findings are both characteristic of an infection in the throat. You should see your doctor for rexam. Sometimes one course of an antibiotic does not work or you could be resistant to it. Doctor may have to do some tests if necessary.

Dry sore throat: Did you get a throat culture? If not and symptoms persist, you should get a culture to check for strep throat.
