Depends: If this is staph aureus they may recur after rupturing and draining. It may be necessary to get this cultured and possibly treated with antibiotics, but first apply wet heat repeatedly to bring to a head and drain. This may take a day or two. If the area of inflammation around this expands, see a doctor asap.
