Not likely: Usually whitening your teeth will only cause them to get whiter. What you may be experiencing is just the tooth color returning to its normal shade. It may just be more noticable because you have come used to the whiter shade. If you feel like the whitening is not lasting long enough, or returns to its original shade too quickly, you may try an alternate method of whitening. Good luck!

Excellent answer, Dr. Ahmed.
In addition, however, while you are bleaching and for a period of several days afterward, your teeth are slightly more likely to uptake colors from your foods, as in coffee, tea, red wines, cola drinks, cherries, blueberries, etc. So the best advice would include to stay away from those types of foods for awhile, and periodically "boost" bleach as a maintenance process.

Coffee or tea: A cheap whitener along with drinking large amounts of coffee or tea can cause yellow stains or an antibacterial mouthwash.
