Possibly temporarily: The high Progesterone levels in pregnancy can suppress endometriosis, and the effect can even last well beyond delivery. This observation led to the current hormonal treatments for endometriosis including birth control pills and progestins in various forms. Unfortunately, without continued medical suppression after delivery the endometriosis symptoms often return.
