How much should my baby eat in the second week?

Breast or Bottle?: Breast fed babies average feeding every 3 hours, formula fed babies every 3-4. On average a 2 week old will be eating between 1 1/2 to 3 ounces, but I have seen bigger boys eat 8.

1 1/2 ounces: The baby should probably eat anywhere from 1 2/2 to 3 ounces per feed. The baby needs about 2 ounces per pound of weight per day to grow adequately.
