Could be Raynauds: Not dangerous if it is raynauds.

Raynaud's phenomenon: Is this condition worst with cold weather? Raynaud's phenomenon is an exaggeration of vasomotor responses to cold or emotional stress. It causes extreme vasoconstriction (closing off) of the peripheral blood vessels, leading to tissue hypoxia (reddish/purple color of skin).
