Not sure. : My understanding is that marriages are regulated in nigeria based on sickle cell genotype. This is not the case in the United States. I thought that the restriction of marriage partners was based on the presence of sickle gene (as or ss). But this would be a question for a court magistrate in nigeria. Certainly sc disease, which would be possible, can be a troublesome disease. Good luck.
