Stress: "stress" means different things to different people, and the responses will be different also. How the person perceives circumstances makes all the difference in how s/he responds. Becoming more centered and peaceful inside allows a person to be better able to deal with the "stresses" [change] life brings. To improve their resilience, many people practice, yoga, meditation, tai chi, etc.

Variety of reasons: Some people are so used to chaos in their lives that they aren't even aware that they are stressed. Some people have trained themselves to improve their performance when under a lot of stress. Many don't know how to get out of the stress cycle. I agree with dr pappas. Being grounded and lying stress aside for a bit - can feel good ( ; help to keep you healthy).
