Tough to say: Without taking a history and performing an exam it is hard to say. Rising blood pressure can be from emotional stress, physical activity prior to checking, over-the-counter medications like decongestants or nsaids, higher salt in diet (soup, canned food, lunch meat, cheese, snacks, frozen meals etc), increased weight, caffeine, though frequently unidentified cause. Talk to your doctor.
