Manage over time: It's not curable, but always manageable until it remits on its own -- there's no telling when. I was able to stop using medicine when I was 50. If topical benzoyl peroxide and/or retinoic acid (strong as you can stand, once a day is fine) isn't enough, your physician can add prescription-strength supplemental Rx. Acne's basically unrelated to diet, hygiene, lifestyle, touching. Best wishes.
