Wide open: There are several types of acne. Your treatment needs to be individualized so i would recommend evaluation by a dermatologist to see what may be the best option given the type of acne. Best of luck!

Scientific Rx: Benzoyl peroxide is strong stuff and the only otc remedy that works. Your physician can help; this is the 21st century and all acne can be controlled. I add topical Clindamycin plus a retinoic acid derivative if there are blackheads. Your physician can add a systemic antibiotic or the oral contraceptive pill can clear a woman. Dermatologists have the strongest stuff. Being acne free is your right.
