Peace of mind: If you had surgery in 2001 i presume the surgery was successful and that your valve is no longer leaking. In that case your risk is probably minimal. However, you should discuss your condition with your cardiologist and or your OB for peace of mind.

Talk to your MD: The risks are probably only slightly increased over a normal patient, but you should discuss this with your OB and cardiologist before proceeding with pregnancy. The heart history and cardiologist notes will be of great help.
