Muscles?: Stretch, ice, if no better within another week or any added sx's, please seek attention. Try a little bit of Aleve (naproxen) or obiprofen also.

Need more info: Neck pain can be caused by many different things. How old are you? Do you have any chronic medical problems? Have you been working with a computer for hours? Any history of trauma? A general question gets a general answer. A specific question gets a specific response.

What's her name?: Just couldn't resist that one-:). And if that made you smile and that relaxes those neck mm, you'll do well to smile and relax more. If you didn't smile, you are uptight, and you'll end up with chronic neck pain, or tmj, or chronic low back or headaches. Yes, the underlying prob in many pain syndromes is unconscious muscle tension. Relax, take deep breaths, and lighten up. If > 10 days, see doc.
