Nutrition consult: There is not one best weight loss plan for everyone. Any successful weight loss plan includes both diet and exercise. Best to seek nutrition consultation for a diet plan that works for you. Nutritionist can incorporate your likes/dislikes and come up with a dietary plan that you are more likely to stick with long-term. Cardiovascular exercise ~4-5x/week may be beneficial and aid in weight loss.

Something reasonable: For weight loss, make this your lifestyle, not just a temporary diet - especially with pcos and and increased risk for Insulin resistance/diabetes. Begin an exercise routine - find something that you enjoy as you'll be more likely to keep it up. Also watch your calorie and sugar intake and portion size. Programs are great since there is accountability and encouragement.

Go slow: To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises. Your doctor can make recommendations.
