what are the heath benefits of hulahooping?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Frank Holmes
22 years experience Sports Medicine
Cardio, core: Hulahooping will burn calories like a cardiovascular exercise, and is probably similar to walking in intensity. Many muscle groups are involved in this hobby, including the abdominals (core), the groin muscles (adductors), lateral hip muscles (abductors), hamstrings and quads. Thus, some toning of these muscles occur. Improving balance and coordination are an added benefit.
