Kidney problem: This level of protein in the urine indicates active and severe kidney damage. The list of causes is long. It is possible by history, examination, and blood tests alone an answer can be obtained, but often a kidney biopsy is needed to determine the cause. Treatment depends on which of the many different causes. Usually a nephrologist would work on this type of problem with you. Good luck.
