Culture. : A urine culture will isolate the bacterium causing the infection as well as identify a specific antibiotic that can be used to treat the infection. Good luck!

Standard therapy: For uncomplicated UTI - Macrobid 100 mg twice a day for 5 days. For other uti's choice is based upon local susceptibility and personal history and urine culture results.
