Continued : Continued burning could mean that your infection did not clear up from the antibiotic, or it could be that you have another type of infection or a yeast infection. You should be re-evaluated by your doctor. If you get pain, vomiting, or fever then you will need an emergency evaluation.

Inflammation: you could have the original infection that didnt respond to the first treatment. Or, you could have a new infection. Or, you could have residual inflammation that hasnt resolved from the first infection. And, you could have some atrophic vaginits due to menopause which can aggravate the discomfort. Talk to your doc and see if you need to be rechecked good luck
