My girlfriend and i have had a yeast infection for 4mos, was misdiagnosed 3mos, we have been on diflucan (fluconazole) for 5 weeks. still redness and pain, ideas?

Yeast: Consider that there may be something else causing the pain or that she is immunocompromised.

Yes: Diflucan (fluconazole) can be taken both orally and intra-vaginally. If they do not work, ketoconazole can be taken instead. Contact your pcp or a dermatologist for an rx. Additionally, you should check if the infection is clymidia. If so, tetracycline can be used to treat (also by rx).
