Could be.: It is now becoming recognized that there is some cognitive dysfunction associated with bipolar disorder, manifested by deficits in working memory (the type of memory involved in holding a task in mind while you do something else) and executive functioning (planning, problem solving). Some research is showing benefit from nac (n-acetyl cysteine) 1000 mg twice a day, available over-the-counter.

There are many: causes of poor memory. Bipolar disorder can cause cognitive problems but is one of many possible symptoms.
