Terbinafine: Terbinafine or lamasil is likely the best treatment. Topicals are often ineffective. Laser treatment can be expensive. Lamasil is generally safe and has appx. 70% success rate in studies.

Oral Lamisil (terbinafine): I've found that topicals and laser do not work well at all. Speak with your podiatrist to see if you are a candidate for oral lamisil, (terbinafine) ask about the risks with this medicine.

Topical vs. oral Rx.: There are topical and oral antifungal medications available for the treatment of nail fungus. Specialized lasers are also now available for treatment of fungal nail infections. Have your nails evaluated and get the appropriate treatment.
