Fungus or eczema: It may not be eczema but rather a fungus, have your pediatrician take a look at rash.

Hydrocortisone : For eczema, if it is very mild, try using a good thick lotion such as eucerin or aquaphor at least twice per day. If there is redness and irritation, you can try an over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream or ointment. Just be aware that ringworm can look like eczema, but the center area is scaly with a surrounding reddish ring. Ringworm is treated with an antifungal medicine, not hydrocortisone.
