A number of possible: It could be dead skin and underlying tissue from a pressure spot or even malignant melanoma. There are too many possibilities to mention them all, but if it has appeared just recently, have it checked and possibly biopsied by a podiatrist. Soon!

Should have them: looked at too make sure they are benign lesions…..and that nothing is dangerous...
