Generic Not specific: A horseshoe kidney with overall normal kidney function does not put you at increased risk of medical problems over others with two kidneys. Consistency and good health habits are all for now: take prescribed medications, exercise, limit nsaids, healthy eating habits, avoid tobacco, and get intermittent health checks for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Good luck.

Relax.: It's an interesting congenital anatomic variance but generally it shouldn't be problematic. You may have a slightly increased risk of kidney stones and infections, so be vigilant of symptoms, but don't let it be cause for over concern. Celebrate your uniqueness.
