Some : Ringing in the ears is usually due to hearing damage caused by exposure to loud noises over many years. Some people "go crazy" because of the ringing in their ears. Unfortunately, there is not a direct cure for it that we know of now. You can mask the ringing with other noise. For instance, you may keep a fan running while you are in bed so the ringing does not disturb your trying to sleep.
