Clarify: By "in the same condition" i assume you mean not healed. If yes, may need exchange nailing, meaning the existing rod is removed, the femur is reamed, and a larger nail is inserted. Readings act like a bone graft. Good luck!

Smoking: If you are a smoker stop smoking. The nicotine in th cigarettes affects the blood flow to the healing tissue and the carbon monoxide from the burning tobacco decreases the available oxygen at the fracture site decreasing the healing potential.
